The Role:

Construction Manager To manage the development and delivery of the construction activities to meet key targets of time, cost, quality and HSE agreed by the business. You must have an extensive on-site construction management and execution experience. working closely with internal and external stakeholders and be familiar with forms of contract such as NEC3/4 and IChemE.

Accountabilities: Ensure Safety, Health & Environmental protection are given the highest priority throughout all construction activitiesWork with the project HSE Team to manage HSE activities throughout the construction and commissioning phases of the projectAct as the 'Principal Contractor' under the CDM Regulation 1994Ensure construction hazards are managed throughout the projectUse appropriate quality systems for the control of construction informationIdentify and manage all key construction risks to minimise their impact on the projectWork with the construction and wider project team to successfully deliver the project requirementsLiaise with the key customer plant personnel to ensure the construction plan is consistent with current standards and local requirementsProvide appropriate construction support for commissioningEnsure construction meets appropriate quality standards supported by agreed test requirementsSpecific Activities: Develop and approve the construction elements of the project programme for your agreed areasProduce and maintain the project Contract Arrangements Plan and fileCheck, approve and record issue of all information to construction sub-contractorsRaise purchase orders and manage contracts for construction activities where requiredLead the relevant Construction MeetingsAid in monitoring and report on construction performance including, progress, costs, HSE etc. Approve 'site variations' within agreed budget where requiredArrange completion of key quality inspections and associated documentation & certificates during construction e.g. pressure testsCheck, approve and record issue of all information and systems for handover to commissioningExperience & Qualifications: Experience in EPC contracts (Civil & Construction)Managing budgets / Financial controlsSubcontractor managementProject Management (projects >10 million)HND/C in Civil or associated disciplineAccredited CSCSAPMP accreditedNEC Project ManagerFor additional information please contact Carla Yvonne Bowman by email carla.bowman@bilfinger.com.
