Main Responsibilities
- Covering support and maintenance services specifically for MOJ / HMP client as well as other BUK clients as required.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical and control systems for MOJ (and other security clients such as Police, NHS etc).
- Repairs of issues found.
- Constantly observe for potential health and safety issues at work.
- Prompt reporting about maintenance visits and call outs to the manager and suggesting solutions in the case of unresolved issues.
- Liaise with customers about technical side of the maintenance visit / call out or project works as required.
- Maintain good relationship with customers’ engineers during the maintenance visit and promote Bilfinger’s brand.
- Identify areas of concern on existing equipment and suggest possible solutions and improvements.
- Specify parts required for call outs, projects or maintenance.
- Support and shadow new starters to ensure they have a good understanding of service activities.
- Follow market development on his/hers area of expertise.
- Suggest training courses needed to keep skills up to date.
- Keep all security vetting requirements up to date for the clients namely MOJ, NHS, Police services, Nuclear clients etc.
- Carry out preventive maintenance checks to site for our contract customers and carry out inspections of control equipment, diagnose and rectify any faults that you find.
- Resolve any issues at site with the minimum interruption to the client.
- Troubleshoot problems over the phone as well as attending the site to resolve problems.
We are looking for a pro-active can-do mentality, hands-on engineer and team player who can interact and interface with other team members and clients.
Experience and Qualifications
- Installation of Electrical PLC Systems (Including Containment).
- Electrical Fault finding on Automated control systems.
- Level 3 electrical apprenticeship.
- ECS Card Black or Gold desirable.
- 18th edition Regulations desirable.
- IPAF desirable.
- Must be able to obtain SC/CTC clearances.
