Reporting to the Lead EC&I Engineer, you are responsible for the production of the Electrical design deliverables within a single or multi-discipline engineering EPC Environment. Manage a team of engineers and designers in delivery of high-quality Electrical designs in line with project scope and industry standards. Collaborate closely with the Lead Engineer to ensure designs are delivered on time and within budget, maintaining alignment with other disciplines such as Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Process, and Automation. Participate in internal and external design reviews. Demonstrated ability to translate Scope of Work into actionable deliverables, effectively delegate tasks to team members, and maintain full accountability for the technical accuracy and quality of all outputs. Ensure technical integrity and compliance of all Electrical deliverables including third party deliverables.
Your profile
- More than 5 years of experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer, in single / multi-discipline projects, in an Engineering / EPCM / EPC environment
- Working knowledge of British and International Standards and Codes.
- Understanding of the full life cycle of a project.
- Proficient in reviewing and validating the technical accuracy of outputs generated using EC&I design packages including Trimble ProDesign, AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux.
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying key industry standards including BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), BS EN 12464 (Lighting of Workplaces) and BS 5266 (Emergency Lighting).
- You delegate to your team but are accountable for the technical accuracy of work produced by your team.
- MEng/BEng/HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Control Engineering.
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (Preferred)
- Experience in the Oil and Gas or Petro-Chemical environment (Preferred).
- Proficient in checking and approving Electrical Engineering deliverables including but not limited to Load Schedule, Single Line Diagrams, Earthing Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Cable Calculations, Cable routing drawings, Datasheets.
- Excellent planning and coordination skills, with the ability to manage dependencies across disciplines and drive project success.
- Result oriented. You are only satisfied after your engineering and design is accepted by the client.
