Duties & Responsibilities
- Work within the established systems to manage the planning & preparation stage of the T/A in your particular area or tasks assigned to you.
- Produce job specifications for jobs as described in the T/A Master Scope.
- Ensure the level of detail on specifications is correct and all aspects are completed before the job is considered 'planned'.
- Application of agreed T/A norms must always be used in production of J.M.S. to arrive at realistic resource numbers and disciplines as well as durations for the task.
- Ensure planning & preparation stage production milestones are met.
- Assist in identifying long delivery materials.
- Identify these to the Materials Co-ordinator to allow materials to be purchased in the most cost efficient manner.
- Be pro-active in identifying to the Plant Team, defects and other work that should be considered for inclusion in the event.
- Understand the interaction of all jobs on the T/A Master Scope and the interaction between any of those jobs.
- Pro-actively identify any improvements that will contribute to the success of the planning phase.
- Ensure that all relevant safety issues are captured on the Job Method Sheet.
- Ensure that the JMS ‘method logic’ takes safe working into account.
- Assist with Major Job Reviews and Job Safety Analysis meetings.
- Identify any work requiring specialist sub-contractors clearly on the JMS and in time for any relevant sub-contractor to plan and mobilize resources to execute the work safely and effectively.
- Liaise with the Scaffolding Supervisor to minimize scaffolding re-work on any Job specs that you have planned and organized.
- With the Scaffold Supervisors, ensure that all Scaff-tags are fitted 2 weeks prior to the start of the event and scaffolds are available for use.
- Ensure all JMS workpacks produced are to a high standard & contain all Risk Assessments & all necessary documentation.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in the plan & Prep of turnaround events.
- Experience in the chemical or oil & gas industry in a senior delivery role.
- HND / HNC and preferably membership of appropriate Institute.
