Bilfinger UK require a Structural Steel Supervisor to join us at High View in Carrington
Supervisors play a key role in the health and safety of any contract.
- Demonstrate previous experience of Structural Steelwork Erection on a Major Project
- Understand and interpret Engineering Construction Drawings. (NSSS)
- Follow a constructability plan, detailing required phases.
- Supervise and oversee use of MEWPS and lifting of steel structures and components
- They develop, implement and monitor the Safe Systems of Work that we use.
- They are “hands on” with the safety and in ensuring the highest possible standards of workmanship in our workplaces.
- They are responsible for putting your people to work.
- They have responsibility to check that the workplaces in which you place your workforce are acceptable and safe.
- They have responsibility to check that adequate controls are in place to reduce risk.
- They must supervise your workforce and elevate issues to the Superintendent or Site Manager as appropriate.
- They must ensure they understand the essential safety requirements.
- They must complete trade assessments for all personnel under their supervision at 7 days, 3 months, every 6 months, end of an event/project and end of employment.
- Qualification
- SSTS – Supervision Safety Training Scheme
- Crane Supervisor - Lifting Operations (Which is an NVQ Level 4)
- CPCS – Slinger Signaller (A40)
- NVQ L3 Moving Loads or Capital Plant Steel Steel Structures
