Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all EC&I installation activities — containment, cabling (LV/HV), terminations, panels, and field instrumentation — through to system handover and commissioning.
  • Lead QA/QC and completions: inspections, walk‑downs, ITPs, punch lists, ATEX where applicable, and production of system handover packs.
  • Manage and coordinate EC&I subcontractor companies, ensuring effective resourcing, productivity, and adherence to programme.
  • Chair daily SIMOPS / coordination meetings and weekly progress and lookahead meetings with client and other disciplines.
  • Author and review RAMS; manage Lotto, isolations, permits, and CDM compliance across the EC&I scope.
  • Liaise daily with client engineering teams, principal contractors, and commissioning teams to align priorities and resolve technical issues.
  • Compile detailed weekly progress reports, KPI tracking, and labour/budget reviews for project leadership.
  • Support hot and cold loop checks, fault finding, and calibration ahead of system energisation.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven E&I Superintendent / Construction Manager experience on large‑scale construction projects.
  • Demonstrable ATEX experience — installation, inspection, and compliance in hazardous area environments.
  • Strong QA/QC and completions background — system walk‑downs, ITPs, punch lists, and handover packs.
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple EC&I subcontractor companies on complex multi‑discipline sites.
  • Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, AM2, 2391 Testing & Inspection, JIB).
  • SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely; CCNSG; full understanding of CDM and site safety regulations.
Desirable
  • Power sector experience (CCGT, FGD, Biomass, or similar power station projects) would be a distinct advantage.
  • Exposure to additional sectors such as EFW, LNG, Chemical, Nuclear, or Data Centres.
