The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Design packs: oversee the development of clear and concise drawing and document packs and review existing packs with a keen eye for detail. Be able to confidently compile or offer guidance on functional design specifications, FAT and SAT documents for analytical and metering systems.
- Calculations: carry out and review cable calculations, I.S Loop Calculations (DSDs), AC and DC load schedules, lighting calculations and thermal capacity calculations, and ensure their accuracy.
- Check and Approve: check and approve other design engineers’ work with a keen eye for detail to guide them on how to improve. Also liaise with external approvers and appraisers to incorporate comments.
- Advise: use your garnered knowledge to train and advise the other EC.
