The Installation Engineer is responsible for monitoring production metrics and proposing improvements based on data analysis.
Responsibilities:- Site engineering focal point, responsible for drafting detailed engineering Method Statements and installation Risk Assessments for Tier 1 specialist contractor; Parent & Child RAMS.
- Preparation and review of design released CAD drawings and 3D models using NavisWorks.
- Collating construction information from the respective internal and external stakeholders involved and ensuring that construction delivery teams are enabled and empowered.
- These span delivery, construction and welding fabrication of the HPC Primary Circuit Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) on EM03 Equipment, EM04 Pipework & EM09 High Integrity Component contracts; Valves, Pumps, Heat exchangers, Supports, Pipework, Bracketry, anti‑whips etc HIC welds.
- Installation works philosophy and rationale according to compliance with applicable international, national, regional and local legislation, regulations and recognised industry standards with construction teams buy‑in.
- Raise RFIs/FCRs/ETQs to address technical issues, such as inconsistencies between models and drawings, ambiguities and missing information.
- Assist the site management / Area Construction Leads in producing temporary works design briefs.
- Liaison with the Construction, Lifting, HSE, Quality, Welding Engineers and Temporary Works Departments to ensure the design is fit for construction.
- Temporary Works Coordinator, and the Temporary Works Designers to ensure the design is fit for construction.
- Produce Materials Trackers and forecasts for construction activities as per programme.
- Liaison with Planners, Permitry, Document Control and the Construction Teams for required and critical dates.
- Produce document trackers highlighting current status of documents to assist delivery team in demonstrating readiness to commence construction including Client and Designer drawings/documents and HPC produced documents.
- Revision and update of all RAMS, in a timely manner.
- Addendums to RAMS following changes to Scopes of Work.
- Integration in RAMS of equipment and materials data from drawings, installation and operations manuals; torques, bolt specs, CoSHH Assessments and MSDS, etc.
- Temporary Works design, installation and inclusion in Child RAMS.
- Traffic management for various sub‑sites.
