Bilfinger UK are looking for a Quality Inspector to join us at Fawley in Southampton. This position is based on site full time on a permanent basis.
- Prepare Quality Test Packs as per specific "Scope of Work" work packs.
- Provide Quality related technical support for projects / maintenance.
- Carry out daily on-site Quality Control Visual Inspection of welds, flange fit-up, Gasket compliance to Isometric drawings & Bolt torquing, to General Practices 12-12.
- Carry-out daily Dimensional checks and Visual Inspection of welds to all Off-site delivered piping spools.
- Maintain and update NDE FOCUL submissions that are stored on an Excel sheet in S-Drive.
- Issuance of welding Consumables as per Quality Controlled Weld Cards.
- Contribute to the improvement and technical capabilities of the Company.
- Contribute to on-site Quality Auditing – Internal & External alongside QA/QC Engineer.
Experience:
- Welding related background, advantages.
- Knowledge and experience in Quality Control systems and processes.
- Knowledge of Quality Plans, (ITPs etc.).
- Able to read and understand isometric drawings.
- Familiarity with pipe standards and specifications.
- Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite essential.
- Understanding of fabrication, welding and NDT techniques.
Qualifications:
- CSWIP Level 3.0 Welding Inspector.
- NDE Knowledge – (Desirable) (NDE= Non-Destructive Examination).
- Fabrication/Welding apprenticeship (Desirable).
