Bilfinger UK is currently recruiting for a Technical Assistant to support our NDT operations at Hinkley Point. This role offers an exciting, challenging, and rewarding opportunity to be part of Bilfinger UK's growing team on Hinkley Point C, contributing to the UK's nuclear new build sector.

Rotation: Monday to Friday

Main Purpose: The Technical Assistant will report directly to the Technical Administrator, supporting contract deliverables and project administration.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with documentation in line with document control procedures, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date in BUK and client systems.
  • Follow safety and quality standards.
  • Help in filing reports and digital documents.
  • Upload reports/documents into predefined document systems.
  • Monitor, download, and disseminate newly coded documents.
  • Perform QA/QC checks on documents per BUK procedures.
  • Enter data into company reports register.
  • Process transmittal documentation.
  • Archive and store radiographs following client procedures.
  • Assist with office administration tasks, including meeting and appointment scheduling.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager and Technical Administrator.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Ability to collaborate with on-site teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure, meeting deadlines.
  • Professional, approachable, proactive, organized.
  • High integrity and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Knowledge of Team Centre is a plus.
