Bilfinger UK are looking for a Project Manager with Piping and Mechanical experience to be based full time on site at DSM Dalry on a permanent basis
The Project Manager be responisle for the below
Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations
Lead the planning and execution of pipefitting projects, ensuring delivery to client specifications, safety standards, and budget constraints.Interpret piping isometrics, and P&IDs to ensure accurate scope definition and execution.Monitor fabrication and installation quality, ensuring compliance with welding procedures, material specifications, and inspection requirements.Maintain commercial awareness by tracking project costs, variations, and identifying opportunities for cost savings or value engineering.
Working with People
Collaborate with pipefitters, welders, supervisors, and engineering teams to ensure smooth project delivery.Promote a positive team culture by recognizing contributions and encouraging open communication.Provide guidance and support to site teams, helping resolve technical or logistical challenges.Share personal insights and encourage team members to reflect on their own strengths and development areas.
Relating and Networking
Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors involved in pipefitting works.Liaise with procurement, QA/QC, and HSE departments to align project goals and resolve issues.Maintain effective communication across all levels—from shop floor to senior management.Use interpersonal skills to manage conflict and foster collaboration in high-pressure environments.
Adhering to Principles and Values
Uphold Bilfinger’s safety culture and ensure all activities comply with relevant legislation and internal standards.Demonstrate integrity in decision-making, especially when dealing with quality, safety, and commercial matters.Promote ethical behaviour and accountability across all project phases.
Planning and Organising
Develop detailed work packs and schedules for pipe fabrication, installation, hydrotesting, and commissioning.Plan manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to meet project milestones.Adjust plans based on site conditions, material availability, or client changes.Track progress using KPIs and ensure timely reporting of delays or risks.
Deciding and Initiating Action
Take ownership of scopes, driving progress and resolving issues proactively.Make informed decisions on resource allocation, sequencing, and technical queries.Initiate improvements in work processes, such as modularisation or prefabrication strategies.Act decisively when faced with safety, quality, or schedule risks.
Leading and Supervising
Provide clear direction to teams, ensuring understanding of scope, standards, and expectations.Delegate tasks fairly and monitor performance, providing coaching and feedback where needed.Empower team members to take initiative while maintaining accountability.Address performance issues constructively and in line with HR protocols.
