Highview Power Carrington – LAES Project (FOAK) Location: Greater Manchester. Project: 50MW / 300MWh Liquid Air Energy Storage Facility. Bilfinger is the principal contractor for Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation construction, specialising in structural steelwork for this FOAK scheme.

As a Permit To Work Coordinator, you will ensure all activities on site are carried out under an approved Permit To Work, with appropriate isolations in place. This role is site‑based in the PTW office and involves regular visits to scope planned work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review Permit To Work applications and ensure relevance to work performed
  • Identify required mechanical, process or E&I isolations
  • Make work site visits to planned activities
  • Collaborate with project, construction managers, engineers and stakeholders to plan and schedule work activities
  • Coordinate with procurement and materials teams to ensure resources are available for IWP execution
  • Identify potential risks and issues and proactively address them to avoid delays or safety concerns
  • Communicate with other departments to align stakeholders on project timelines, scope and deliverables
  • Attend daily coordination and PTW meetings

Additional project highlights:

  • Principal contractor for Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation construction, including structural steelwork
  • Delivery of complex, safety‑critical systems within a novel technology environment
  • Working within a large high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary integrated delivery team on a technically challenging FOAK scheme
