The Role
An opportunity has arisen to join a well-established UK engineering business located in the Warrington area and to work on a Liquid Air (Cryogenic) storage plant. Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Manage and provide commercial support and assistance to the Construction team and other team members.
- Contribute to the preparation/presentation for budgets and forecasts for the contract.
- Management of Risks and Opportunities register.
- Ensure the Contract is appropriately administered and that BUK are operating within the realms of the terms and conditions.
- Ensure that contractual elements such as rate increases, EWN's, CE's, the Change Management process are managed effectively and promptly.
- Management of receivables, the valuation process and invoicing to ensure that working capital is minimised.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly cost and commercial reports covering costs, revenue, profit, loss, working capital, gross margin and financial performance etc.
- Assisting with the preparation of and submitting of monthly applications.
- Supporting Business Development with new contract opportunities including calculation and review of rates, margin models and commercial terms, identification of risks and opportunities and participation in tender reviews.
- Commercial support to operational management.
- Assist with the preparation of the business unit board packs and analysis of KPIs.
- Ensure internal processes and controls are adhered to.
- Development and implementation of a Margin Improvement plan along with the project team.
- Mentoring and assisting younger/less experienced Commercial staff.
- Any other duties directed by the Site Manager and/or Commercial Manager.
You will be expected to have the following qualifications & experience:
- 5+ years commercial experience in industrial services/gas plant/petrochemical sectors.
- BSc or suitable related qualification – or working towards such a qualification.
- Good knowledge and user skills of SAP.
- Good knowledge and user skills of Excel.
- Good knowledge of NEC – Contract is Option C.
- Ability to manage/support junior staff members.
