We are recruiting an experienced Site Manager to lead steelwork installation and lifting operations on a major industrial project. The role covers site-based delivery of structural steelwork from workpack through to completion, with full responsibility for subcontractor management and lifting activities as Appointed Person.
Key Responsibilities- Manage site steelwork installation and workpack delivery from issue to handover.
- Act as Appointed Person — prepare lift plans, RAMS, and crane configurations to LOLER and BS 7121.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, monitoring performance, compliance, and HSE standards.
- Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions.
- Plan resources, sequencing, and logistics to meet programme milestones.
- Liaise with client, design, and HSE teams to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain progress, lifting, and quality records for client reporting.
Proven steelwork site management experience on major industrial projects. Appointed Person (A61) – Lifting Operations. NVQ L3 moving Loads SMSTS and NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management (or equivalent). Strong subcontractor and team management track record.
