Main Purpose
This role presents a long-term, engaging, and rewarding opportunity as a key member of Bilfinger UK’s expanding inspection team at Hinkley Point C. In the role of an NDT Technician, you will play a crucial role in the execution of a quality NDT service throughout the site.
Main Responsibilities
- Conducting NDT (volumetric and surface methods) on pipework, tanks/vessels and structures.
- Complete inspection reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Accurately interpreting and documenting test findings in alignment with procedures and industry acceptance standards.
- Reviewing colleagues' reports and interpretation of results.
- Complete and record daily equipment checks.
- Strict adherence to both our internal and site-specific health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) policies.
- Conducting point of work risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
- Providing mentorship and training to apprentices.
- Write detailed and concise inspection technique sheet.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential: PCN Level 2 or equivalent ISO 9712 certification in Radiography, MPI and DPI. Preference for candidates with additional NDT qualifications (PCN ARS, UT, VT). Experience with new build, construction site weld testing.
Desirable: knowledge of IRR 2017. Can-do, problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and a willing ability to work in a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Role - Full time, On-Site. Rotation - 2 on 2 off.
