To ensure that the Project Quality Assurance requirements are all understood and implemented by the QA/QM teams, ensuring that Client and statutory requirements are effectively met. The full scope of the role also includes developing, managing anf monitoring that all the assuring management arrangements, assuring standards, scheduling and overseeing internal and external audits, incorporating lessons learned / best practices in the quality system, training on quality, audits and quality improvements are maintained on behalf of the PMO and indivdual projects.

  • To maintain the highest degree of professionalism in all dealings related to QA/QM on the Contract.
  • To report at BNET / PMO level on all quality metrics for the measurement of performance of the Works.
  • Oversee the auditing of all Project Activities as per project schedule and ad hoc.
  • Establish arrangements for the review and assurance Lifetime Quality Records for compliance.
  • Maintain and make improvements to Integrated Management System.
  • Develop & monitor project specific Quality procedures to meet project requirements.
  • Interact cross-functionally with ALL project team members and management to ensure client and statutory requirements are effectively met & reported.
  • Develop Audit schedule with Internal and External stakeholders.
  • Organise and maintain CAR / NCR logs, Lesson Learned process on behalf of the projects.
  • Review technical requisitions and procurement documentation for QA/QC compliance.
  • Champion Foreign Material Exclusion, preventing ingress or entrapment of non-specified materials, loose items or debris in equipment and /or systems during assembly and testing.
  • Issue of NCR’s where required and facilitating construction in closure of internal and client issued NCR’s.
  • Establish arrangements for assuring configuration controls and related interfaces are understood and robust in execution.
  • Conduct improvement projects to improve the efficiency or effectiveness of a process by applying the appropriate improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma etc).
  • Train and coach, the QA/QM team(s) across the projects to improve aspects of their business performance
  • Recommending improvements to installation processes, materials, or inspection methods to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Complete any other services on behalf of the QA/QM team & Programme Director, as requested by your Line Manager.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience
  • You will have significant working knowledge of organisation/delivery development and improvement for a technical programme or Project environment.
  • Knowledge of working to UK and international standards and codes of practice for the UK

Role Qualifications

  • Recognised Lead Auditor qualification
  • ONC/HNC Mechanical Engineering (Desirable)
  • Member of Chartered Quality Institute (Desirable)

WIMS Requirements

One of the following

  • JB15A / A Associate Diploma of Engineering and Advanced Certificate in Engineering
