This role ensures that all necessary information, materials, and conditions are in place before physical work commences, focusing heavily on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance within a highly scrutinised nuclear environment.
- To support bridging the gap between design engineering and on-site construction/installation.
- To ensure the timely and compliant readiness of all documentation, materials, and logistics required for large-bore and small-bore piping installation activities.
- To act as the primary interface between the design team, the client, and the on-site construction teams to resolve technical queries and open points before they impact the schedule.
- To manage the creation and acceptance of detailed Construction Work Packs (CWPs), which are essential for field execution.
- Responsible for the site preparation installation documentation and supporting the site manager in carrying out their duties.
- Strong understanding of piping systems (large and small bore), pressure systems regulations, engineering standards, and construction sequences.
- Familiarity with relevant tools and systems such as Navisworks (for design review), and project management software.
- Leading by example in all aspects of health and safety culture on the site.
Based full time on site Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, permanent staff position.
Qualifications: HNC/HND or a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent trade qualification.
Experience: Proven experience in a construction/installation environment, ideally within highly regulated sectors such as nuclear, oil & gas, or petrochemicals. Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects is essential.
