This role is based in Leyburn, North Yorkshire, DL8 5LA.
Biker Group Haulage and Aggregates Ltd has a well-respected reputation throughout the North. It operates a centrally managed modern fleet of vehicles to help deliver a fast, flexible and efficient bulk delivery service to our clients. Our highly experienced Traffic Managers are aided by the latest GPS technology to continually react to our clients' regularly changing requirements. The reputation of the Haulage Division has developed as a result of this professional handling and distribution.
As our fleet continues to grow rapidly, we are looking for a proactive and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee operations and support our expansion. This includes liaising with heads of department of other companies within the group and working closely with a team of HGV technicians. Assisting with workflow through the workshop to ensure it runs smoothly and minimising downtime to the fleet. This will also include managing a wide range of Light Goods Vehicles, company cars, commercial vans and other assets. This is a hands-on role requiring direct involvement with vehicles, drivers, and compliance processes.
Permanent Monday – Friday 9 hours per day
Salary up to £60,000 per annum, dependant on experience

Role Requirements:
- Obtain prices from suppliers for parts to ensure best value achieved
- Raise purchase orders to order spare parts and consumables
- Book MOT tests for HGVs and LGVs
- Book HGVs and LGVs into main dealers for repairs, maintenance, weekly inspections, servicing etc.
- Vehicle compliance with O Licence undertakings and DVSA requirements
- Monitoring driver hours and addressing tachograph infringements in line with compliance standards
- Processing workshop job sheets for interdepartmental invoices for monthly P&Ls
- Produce invoices for external garage work
- General admin and inputting data into fleet management software system
- Ensure inspections and service dates are up to date and on the maintenance schedule
- Performing stock take and recording within fleet management software
- Liaise with Garage Manager for daily job sheets
- Check and sign off supplier invoices and match with PODs
- Quickly responding to unexpected issues like vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or supply chain disruptions
- Monitor vehicle downtime and associated loss of earnings, implementing efficiency improvements and reviewing performance with maintenance providers
- Liaising with transport office and other department managers over fleet requirements and availability
