Our client is a major manufacturer in the global and UK motorcycle industries.

Purpose of Role/Job Overview

Key Accountabilities:

  • Working as part of the Sales Support Team, the role is multi-faceted, but the core function is the administration of sales orders and processing of retail and wholesale credits/bonuses. Aligned with this function is data administration and analysis.
  • The role works with all elements of the sales support team plus close working ties to the General Manager and Sales and Marketing Manager on data admin/analysis.

Main Tasks:

  • Process normal and forward orders for M/C, ATV, SxS and PWC product groups.
  • Provide information relating to supply updates as required to Dealer network and internal colleagues.
  • Maintain dealer retail credits system.
  • Manage various data systems including Nova updates, New model data on MCI etc.
  • Manage dealer sign up/terminations and contracts process liaising with all departments.
  • Maintain and populate Sales Plan Data drive with regular reports downloaded from MCIA, AEA, along with updates to Business planning documents and other files.
  • Regularly update product ordering system in line with updates of consolidated Business plans.
  • Compile quarterly dealer standard audit reports.

Other Activities, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with sales support section head in Europe and logistics partners to ensure the smooth running of the department and fulfil the expectations of the sales support team responsibilities.
  • Ensure all promotions are set up correctly within all systems and applicable bonuses are processed in a timely manner.
  • Data provision, providing a regular and timely feed of data received from various sources to enable management.
  • Analyse market data in depth to enable management to formulate a strategic approach to markets our client works within.
  • Maintain all systems relative to those detailed above to ensure the availability of information to formulate strategic sales and marketing activities.
  • Ensure Product Order files and Dispatch plan is regularly updated reflecting current business performance against plan.

Essential:

  • Proven administrative skills and organisational abilities.
  • An excellent level of competence on Excel Software along with a good understanding of other relevant IT and business related tools, Microsoft Office suite, Power 7/As400.
  • Understanding of other reporting tools an advantage – e.g Qlick, MIS etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Desirable:

  • An understanding of the Motorcycle and Utility markets would be an advantage but is not essential.
