Bike Shed Moto Co. Is a thriving retail and hospitality business in Shoreditch, London, with an additional venue in Los Angeles. As our operations continue to expand, we’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Financial Controller / Finance Director to take ownership of our finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to have real impact, work closely with leadership, and grow into a more senior role as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of day-to-day financial operations and reporting
  • Accurate bookkeeping and financial record-keeping
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Cash flow management and forecasting
  • P&L forecasting to support strategic business planning
  • VAT and payroll oversight (knowledge helpful, not essential)
  • Coordination with our Los Angeles subsidiary (occasional evening hours required)
  • Process improvements and system enhancements

Key Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or FD
  • Strong bookkeeping and financial reporting experience
  • Management accounts preparation expertise
  • Advanced cash flow forecasting skills
  • Highly autonomous, able to meet deadlines and juggle priorities
  • Strong communicator, able to collaborate with UK and US teams
