We are looking for an energetic, responsible, and organised individual to join our Hire team as a Hire Assistant. Reliability and adaptability are vital for this role, as are excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. This role will assist the Hire manager in delivering the day-to-day operations of the department. The Hire Assistant acts as the face of the department, interacting with customers, leading Bike & Protection handover procedures, and maintaining exceptional standards of hire equipment and the Hire zone.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Work across the department to deliver an excellent visitor experience.
- Deliver exceptional service to all visitors, face‑to‑face and through other methods of communication.
- Deliver a professional and fun equipment handover, engaging and compliant.
- Maintain upkeep of equipment, ensuring exceptional standards.
- Engage with visitors to provide necessary information and share upcoming events.
- Assist with site presentation and daily department zone cleanliness.
- Support operations across all departments as needed.
General team duties:
- Adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities, and respond positively to new and alternative systems.
- Cooperate with relevant health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Carry out duties in compliance with the Company’s equal opportunities policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines.
- Understand and comply with the Company’s environmental policies.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties in the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibilities.

- Sound understanding of mountain bikes and basic riding skills.

- Keen interest in BikePark Wales and MTB.
- Ability to communicate in Welsh.
