YOUR EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience operating 3 axis milling machines
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
- Ability to edit CNC programs to suit need if required
- Fanuc experience and experience in machining aluminium preferable
- Skilled in using measuring tools (Vernier callipers, bore micrometres, DTI gauge)
- Experience of CAD/CAM systems and good understanding of CAM programming
- Good organizational skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
YOUR TASKS:
- Select appropriate tooling, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines
- Assist Engineering Manager and CNC Programmer with daily tasks
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ensure “Right First Time” execution and collaborate with Quality for part conformity and traceability
- Communicate equipment needs with Engineering and Quality Managers
- Continuously improve processes
- Support with CNC programming
- Monitor tool usage and support with tool and CNC equipment procurement
