Bijoux De Mimi is a UK-based, fast-paced, high-growth jewellery brand, with a tiny team that has scaled organically with no external investment, doubling year on year. The business was founded by Amelia Hitchcock-Merritt at 18 and has grown from strength to strength into a new international brand. Following recent expansion into the EU and the USA, Bijoux De Mimi now operates across multiple warehouses, with a primary focus on direct‑to‑consumer online sales. As the brand continues to scale, the complexity of stock planning, production timelines, and international logistics has increased significantly.
Bijoux De Mimi is now looking for an experienced, confident operator to manage supply chain, inventory forecasting, and logistics as we grow. This role will work very closely with Amelia, who has managed all of this by herself until now, alongside our UK, EU, and US warehouse teams, and occasionally with our Brand Manager to support wholesale planning when required. The role can be based in our London office, remotely, or in a hybrid model (hybrid preferred). Candidates must be English‑speaking and ideally based in or close to London for in‑person meetings.
The Supply Chain & Merchandising Manager Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain & Merchandising Manager to take ownership of inventory planning, production timelines, supplier management, and logistics across our UK, EU, and US operations. This is not a junior role. While onboarding will be provided for our specific warehouse and logistics platforms, we expect this person to know what they’re doing, lead the function with confidence, and operate with a high level of autonomy. You will be responsible for ensuring the business is consistently stocked, launches run on time, and logistics operate smoothly without requiring day‑to‑day oversight from the Founder.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Forecasting & Inventory Planning (Core Focus)
- Own end‑to‑end sales forecasting and stock planning for online sales and pop‑up shops.
- Create accurate inventory projections based on historical data, growth trends, marketing plans, and seasonality.
- Plan stock levels across UK, EU, and US warehouses to ensure availability while avoiding overstock.
- Analyse customer purchasing behaviour to identify best‑selling products, styles, and variations.
- Use performance data to inform ordering decisions and new product/design development.
- Forecast and manage packaging orders and requirements in line with projected sales growth.
- Production Planning & Launch Management
- Build and manage production, delivery, and launch timelines, factoring in manufacturing lead times, freight and transit schedules, and warehouse intake and check‑in times.
- Ensure all products are produced, shipped, and received in time for online launches and pop‑up shops, and future permanent retail locations.
- Proactively identify risks, delays, or capacity issues and resolve them before they impact launches.
- Lead communication with manufacturers for jewellery and packaging.
- Place jewellery stock orders based on approved forecasts and projections.
- Place packaging stock orders based on approved forecasts and projections.
- Confirm production schedules, quantities, and delivery timelines.
- Hold manufacturers accountable to deadlines and resolve any issues rapidly and efficiently.
- Take control of freight forwarding and international shipping either directly with the manufacturers or with Zen Cargo.
- Book shipments when necessary, ensure collections, and secure cost‑effective and reliable freight solutions.
- Track shipments in transit and proactively manage delays or disruptions.
- Ensure deliveries arrive on time to the correct UK, EU, and US warehouses.
- Warehouse & Systems Leadership
- Manage coordination with warehouse teams across the UK, EU, and USA.
- Ensure warehouses are prepared for new product launches.
- Maintain oversight of inventory levels for both products and packaging.
- Trigger reorders proactively based on forecasts and lead times.
- Wholesale Support (Secondary)
- Support small‑scale wholesale activity when required.
- Designate limited wholesale stock allocations without impacting online or pop‑up availability.
- Work alongside the Brand Manager to support wholesale planning from time to time.
Level of Ownership & Autonomy
- Confidently lead forecasting, ordering, and logistics processes.
- Identify issues before they become problems.
- Take full ownership of timelines, stock availability, and supplier communication.
- Operate as a trusted collaborator to the Founder, not a task‑based executor.
What We’re Looking For
Must‑Have Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain, merchandising, inventory planning, logistics, or operations.
- Strong analytical skills with confidence in forecasting demand and making ordering decisions.
- Experience managing international manufacturers, freight, and multi‑region warehouses.
- Comfortable supporting online DTC brands and pop‑up retail.
- Highly organised, proactive, and confident, working with minimal oversight.
Useful to Have
- Experience in jewellery, fashion, or consumer goods.
- Familiarity with warehouse management or inventory systems.
- Experience supporting fast‑growing, founder‑led brands.
What Success Looks Like
- The business is consistently well‑stocked across all regions.
- Online launches and pop‑up events run smoothly and on time.
- Supply chain and logistics issues are anticipated and resolved proactively.
- The Founder is not required to manage day‑to‑day inventory or logistics.
- Data‑driven planning supports continued international growth.
