Apprentice Early Years Educator required at Big N All Preschool and Day Nursery. We are looking for someone with a love of working with children, where you will gain the Level 3 qualification.
Here at Big N All, we aim to offer a holistic early years provision tailored to the needs of each child. Big N All provides a safe and secure environment for young children to learn and play. We aim to use the guidance of the EYFS as the foundation for our teaching, building on this through our diverse and unique way of teaching via the arts. We offer programs tailored to different age groups and integrate activities that promote cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth, within a safe and comforting environment where children can explore and develop new skills.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with children aged 0-5 years old, including daily needs such as feeding, nappy changing and toileting
- Work as part of a team to deliver and meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage for all children
- Plan, provide and support age-appropriate play opportunities in line with the curriculum and individual needs
- Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children in your care
- Be a key person for an allocated number of children and their families
- Observe, assess and record children’s learning and development progress
- Provide an enabling environment that meets the needs of each unique child
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers
- Adhere to and follow the setting’s policies and procedures
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
- Attend regular team meetings
- Ensure standards of health and safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
- Attend additional training events and meetings as identified by the setting manager
- Liaise and work in partnership with external agencies (statutory and voluntary) as appropriate
- Undertake any other duties as deemed necessary by the setting manager
