We’re seeking a skilled individual to support our Estate and Trust practice. The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file documents with the Court, and communicate with clients. Responsibilities
- Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, maintaining an organized filing system for legal documents, and client billings
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates about their legal matters
- Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents and correspondence, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
- Aid lawyers in initiating estates and the preparation of estate accountings and inventories
Qualifications
- Must be flexible and detail-oriented
- Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute
- Completion of a paralegal program is preferred but not required
- Experience with a case management program such as Clio is preferred, but not required
- Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
