We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactiveAccount Representative to join our personal injury team at Gemma Law Associates. This role plays a vital part in protecting client recovery by ensuring that all medical liens and subrogation claims are identified, tracked, and resolved efficiently. You will handle Medicare, Medicaid, health insurance, MedPay, and PIP lien processes, maintain up-to-date records, and negotiate reductions to support accurate settlement disbursements.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and manage subrogation claims with health insurance, MedPay, PIP carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid
- Track lien and subrogation activity in the case management system; follow up on all active files at least every 30 days
- Review and reconcile medical provider balances, confirming accuracy of charges, payments, and adjustments
- Maintain clear and organized lien documentation accessible to the legal team
- Communicate professionally with medical providers and lien holders to obtain updates and negotiate reductions
- Collaborate with attorneys and case managers to ensure all liens and bills are resolved prior to settlement disbursement
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between billed amounts and payments received
- Monitor deadlines and respond promptly to carrier or provider inquiries
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in personal injury law, medical billing, or insurance subrogation strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance reimbursement processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to track numerous files accurately
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload under deadline
- Experience with lien negotiation or billing adjustments is a plus
- Proficiency with case management software preferred (e.g., SmartAdvocate, Filevine, or similar)
Compensation
$34,000 – $36,000 yearly
