About the role
BigHand is looking for a Field Marketing Lead to lead and drive our demand generation strategy and execution, turning strong product and brand positioning into campaigns that generate engagement, pipeline and revenue. This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of Commercial Marketing. You'll manage two direct reports (an Email Marketing Specialist and an Events Manager) and act as a trusted leader and mentor across the wider marketing team. You'll bring strong judgement, collaboration and a commitment to continuous improvement, delivering measurable commercial outcomes aligned to business goals. We're looking for someone who brings fresh thinking and continuously improves existing approaches. You'll identify opportunities to improve how we generate and convert demand, challenge assumptions constructively, and test new ideas that drive stronger performance.
What you’ll do
- Commercial Ownership
- Own and drive campaign performance against MQL targets, with a focus on lead quality, conversion through to SAL, opportunity creation and closed-won revenue.
- Partner with Marketing Operations to closely monitor campaign performance, identify opportunities for optimisation and make timely adjustments when activity underperforms against targets.
- Work closely with the Head of Commercial Marketing, Product Marketing Lead and Head of Content Marketing to ensure campaign activity is aligned to pipeline and revenue objectives.
- Campaign Strategy and Execution
- Lead integrated, multi-channel, full-funnel campaigns that bring product and brand positioning to life across email, LinkedIn, webinars, direct mail and events.
- Own BigHand's presence at third-party and company-hosted events, ensuring every event has a clear commercial objective, appropriate nurture strategy and measurable return on investment.
- Develop and test innovative campaign ideas, channels and formats, taking ownership from concept through execution.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI effectively across campaign planning, execution and optimisation to improve efficiency, targeting and campaign performance.
- People Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop an Email Marketing Specialist and Events Manager, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Act as an experienced mentor across the wider marketing team, supporting high standards, sound decision-making and commercial focus.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Digital Marketing and Brand teams to ensure campaigns are built on compelling messaging and high-quality content.
- Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, presenting recommendations, sharing insights and discussing campaign performance.
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with Sales leadership and the wider sales team, aligning on target accounts, lead follow-up processes and feedback loops to maximise campaign effectiveness and revenue outcomes.
What we’re looking for
Experience leading B2B field or campaign marketing programmes with demonstrated commercial results, ideally within a SaaS environment. Commercially minded with a strong understanding of the full marketing and sales funnel, including MQL, SAL, Opportunity and Closed-Won stages. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously while delivering against deadlines and budgets. Experienced people leader and mentor, with a track record of developing individuals and building high-performing teams. Ability to build credibility and trust with stakeholders across marketing, sales and leadership teams. Creative, curious and willing to test new approaches that improve campaign performance and commercial outcomes. Data-driven and adaptable, using performance insights to inform decisions, optimise campaigns and reprioritise activity when required. Strong collaborator with experience delivering successful campaigns through cross-functional partnerships. Interest in AI, cloud technology and modern marketing practices, with enthusiasm for adopting new tools and ways of working.
