About The Role: BigHand’s Technical Product teams play a central role within the organisation. Working in close partnership with Product Managers, who define the product strategy, Product Owners are part of the Agile Scrum teams who solve user and business problems through the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Product Owners engage with stakeholders and end users at all levels, representing BigHand as ambassadors both internally and externally.
This leadership role combines hands-on delivery within a Scrum team with the responsibility of managing and mentoring a small group of Product Owners, providing the guidance and support required to ensure successful product outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, mentor, and support other Product Owners to foster growth and high performance.
- Drive learning, best practices, and alignment across the Product Owner function.
- Serve as a domain expert, championing customer and user value throughout product development.
- Collaborate with Development teams and Product Managers to discover the right sized solution to deliver the goal.
- Partner with the Product Manager to shape roadmap priorities, driving trade-offs that maximize cross-team value.
- Reduce initiative uncertainty through structured de-risking in partnership with Product leadership team.
- Own and maintain a prioritized, well-groomed product backlog and delivery plan.
- Define detailed requirements through user stories aligned with product objectives.
- Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies including planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Bridge the engineering and business stakeholders by creating clarity on expected outcomes.
- Facilitate release training sessions to ensure organizational readiness and alignment.
- Map business processes and design workflow models.
- Lead workshops and deliver presentations to gather insights, validate ideas, and drive feedback.
