Through our expert knowledge and innovative technology, we enable our customers to achieve enhanced efficiency, better decision-making and harness their competitive edge. We build with tomorrow in mind, transforming ideas into action and empowering our customers to succeed in a world of constant change.
We are a business driven by our values and have these at the centre of everything we do. Our BigHanders are dedicated to building a culture where We Win Together, We Love to Learn, We Do the Right Thing, We Own It and We Find the Fun.
About the role
This role exists to close the gap between marketing data and marketing action. AI tools now generate real time performance dashboards and first draft narrative summaries, taking over the manual data pulling and storytelling that used to define this kind of role. What AI cannot do is decide what a team should do differently, make that happen, and make sure it sticks.
The Marketing Optimization Manager owns that last mile, and is the link between the technology BigHand's marketing team relies on and the action that technology should drive. You will use AI driven analytics tools to surface performance signals across email, digital, ABM, social, and content, then apply judgement to validate them, work with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Content to agree specific actions, and hold the process accountable until those actions are actually embedded in how campaigns run.
You will also take charge of the AI analytics platforms and tools that power this work: making sure they are configured, maintained, and used properly, and that what they surface can be trusted as accurate. You will partner closely with the Head of Marketing Growth to keep our measurement of the buyer journey sharp, and with campaign owners to keep optimization a habit rather than a monthly report.
What you'll do
- Own the optimization cadence: run a recurring review with each campaign owner (Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Content, ABM, Social) that turns AI surfaced performance signals into specific, agreed actions, and track whether those actions actually happen.
- Curate and validate AI generated insight: use AI dashboarding and analytics tools to do the heavy lifting of trend detection, but apply judgement to catch false signals, add context AI misses, and turn raw output into a concrete recommendation.
- Hold teams accountable for follow through: maintain a visible signal to action log and report to the Head of Marketing Growth on what was flagged, what was actioned, and what impact it had.
- Make real time reallocation calls within an agreed test and learn budget, pivoting underperforming spend or creative while campaigns are still live, rather than only recommending changes after a campaign has ended.
- Design and run the experimentation program end to end, from hypothesis and test design through result interpretation, and codify what is learned into playbooks that get reused across teams.
- Partner with the Head of Marketing Growth to evolve how we measure impact across the buyer journey, connecting activity to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
- Own and manage the marketing analytics and AI tooling stack in full: select, configure, and continuously improve the dashboards, attribution, and predictive tools that do the data crunching, and take direct, ongoing responsibility for making sure they are used properly and that the information they surface is accurate.
- Build and maintain lightweight playbooks and standard operating procedures so that proven optimizations become standard practice rather than being relearned every campaign cycle.
What we're looking for
- Four to six, or more, years in marketing analytics, marketing operations, or growth roles within a B2B environment, with a track record of driving, not just reporting, change in campaign performance.
- Specific examples of insight that led to a budget reallocation, creative pivot, or process change that was actually adopted by a team, not just presented to one.
- Comfort managing, configuring, and critically evaluating AI driven analytics and dashboarding tools, able to validate AI generated insight, spot when it is wrong, and know when human judgement should override it.
- Strong influence across teams, and ideally some prior experience holding budget or decision authority over a test and learn program.
- Working knowledge of campaign tracking and reporting tools (for example Google Analytics, Salesforce, marketing automation platforms) as a configurer and administrator of these systems, augmented by AI, not as a manual dashboard builder.
- Confidence working with KPIs such as engagement, conversion rate, pipeline influence, and marketing ROI, and making a call and being accountable for the result.
- Strong stakeholder management and organizational savvy, able to get campaign owners to actually change behavior, not just nod along in the meeting.
- Bonus: experience designing, rolling out, or governing AI driven marketing analytics tools or workflows within a marketing team.
