Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Podiatrist role based in Biggleswade. The Podiatrist will assess, diagnose, and treat a range of foot and lower-limb conditions, including musculoskeletal issues, skin and nail problems, and diabetic foot concerns. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient consultations, performing clinical examinations, providing routine and advanced podiatry treatments, and advising on preventive care and self-management. The role also involves creating and maintaining accurate clinical records, collaborating with other healthcare professionals when needed, and contributing to service improvement and patient education within the practice.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in clinical Medicine and Podiatry, with the ability to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of foot and lower-limb conditions.
  • Knowledge of Biomechanics and experience in gait analysis and functional assessment to support treatment planning.
  • Competence in Orthotics, including prescription, fitting, and review of custom and prefabricated devices.
  • Experience managing Diabetes-related foot issues, including risk assessment, ulcer prevention, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Recognized degree in Podiatry (or equivalent) and eligibility for relevant professional registration and licensure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach and commitment to non-discriminatory care.
  • Ability to work independently in a clinical setting, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Willingness to engage in continuing professional development and stay current with best practices and clinical guidelines.
