Bigg is one of Bristol's leading digital marketing agencies, delivering high-performing campaigns across SEO, Paid Media, Content, and Social. We are a team of around 20 marketers who care about doing great work, building trust with clients, and helping each other grow. Our culture is collaborative, ambitious, and down-to-earth.

We are looking for an experienced SEO Manager to join our growing SEO team and take ownership of delivery across a portfolio of client accounts. This is a hands‑on delivery role for someone who combines strong technical SEO knowledge with the ability to lead and coordinate a team. You will sit between our Head of SEO and the wider delivery team, ensuring campaigns are executed to a high standard and results speak for themselves. This is not a client‑facing role. Our Client Services team manages client relationships directly, so you can focus on what matters most: doing great SEO work and making sure the team around you is set up to deliver.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical SEO audits and prioritise fixes that will have the greatest impact on performance
  • Own on‑site optimisation across crawl management, site architecture, structured data, and Core Web Vitals
  • Develop keyword strategies, content optimisation plans, and internal linking improvements
  • Collaborate with our in‑house developer to brief, scope, and QA technical changes
  • Monitor organic performance and provide clear, commercially focused insight to internal stakeholders
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day workload of SEO Executive(s) and the Delivery Coordinator
  • Mentor junior team members through regular feedback, guidance, and support
  • Brief the team clearly and follow up to ensure quality and on‑time delivery
  • Proactively flag risks, blockers, or capacity issues to the Head of SEO

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Client Services to provide campaign updates and technical input for client conversations
  • Join client calls when technical expertise is needed, as directed by the Head of SEO
  • Support the Head of SEO with performance input for QBRs and strategic reviews

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of SEO experience, ideally agency‑side
  • Strong technical SEO knowledge, including crawl management, structured data, and Core Web Vitals
  • Confident with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and SEMrush or Ahrefs
  • Able to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
  • Clear communicator who can translate complex SEO into straightforward recommendations
  • Experience producing performance reports with commercially focused insight
  • Some familiarity with HTML or CSS as it relates to technical SEO is a bonus
  • Experience mentoring or coordinating junior team members is a bonus

Why Join Bigg

  • Profit‑related bonus scheme
  • Hybrid working – 3 days in our Bristol office, 2 from home
  • Early finish on Fridays
  • Office dogs and a relaxed, supportive culture
  • Regular socials and team events
  • Free fruit and snacks

If you are ready to take ownership of SEO delivery, develop your team, and make a real impact inside a growing independent agency, we would love to hear from you.
