Sales Assistant - Tandem, Huddersfield Salary: £26,500 per annum up to £6,000 OTE Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Location: In person About the Role We’re looking for a confident, motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join the team at BIGBOX Huddersfield.

This is a varied, fast-paced role covering the full membership journey — from generating and converting new sales through to member retention, renewals and ongoing relationship management.

You’ll be one of the first points of contact for prospective members, helping them understand everything BIGBOX has to offer and finding the right membership option for them.

You’ll also work closely with existing members approaching renewal, support retention activity and help identify opportunities to improve the overall member experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable working towards targets and can combine strong sales skills with excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities Respond to new membership enquiries by phone, email, online and in person.

Conduct engaging club tours and confidently showcase BIGBOX facilities and membership options.

Understand prospective members’ needs and recommend the most suitable membership.

Convert enquiries and prospects into new memberships.

Proactively follow up leads and maintain regular contact with prospective members.

Work towards individual and team sales targets.

Manage and support membership renewals, including contacting members approaching the end of their current membership.

Support member retention activity, including engaging with members who may be considering leaving.

Identify member concerns and, where appropriate, help find solutions to retain their membership.

Promote membership upgrades, PLUS Membership and other relevant products and services.

Support referral campaigns, promotions, open weekends and other sales activity.

Maintain accurate sales, prospect, renewal and retention records.

Assist with membership administration and general member enquiries.

Build strong relationships with both prospective and existing members.

Work closely with the wider Membership, Reception and Management teams to deliver a consistent member experience.

Previous experience in sales, customer service, membership sales, leisure, fitness or hospitality would be beneficial, but the right attitude and personality are just as important.
