A well-regarded London interior design studio is seeking an experienced Project Interior Designer to join its dedicated Small Works team. This is an exciting opportunity for a designer who thrives on delivering high-quality, fast-turnaround interior projects with precision and creativity. The Small Works team focuses on smaller-scale commissions and refurbishments, managing projects from initial concept through to completion. The successful candidate will take ownership of their projects, working closely with clients, contractors, and the wider studio to ensure exceptional outcomes at every stage.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing interior design projects from concept to completion within the small works remit
  • Developing design concepts, mood boards, material palettes, and scheme presentations
  • Producing detailed drawings, schedules, and specifications
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and procurement
  • Conducting site visits and overseeing works on site
  • Collaborating with the wider studio team on design direction and quality

Candidate requirements:

  • 3+ years of interior design experience, ideally including project management
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating completed interior projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • SketchUp or similar 3D software advantageous
  • Solid understanding of materials, finishes, and the specification process
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in a studio environment working on refurbishment or fit-out projects

  • Experience working within a small works or fast-turnaround project environment
