An established international design and construction business is looking to appoint a Technical Design Manager to join its growing London team. With a strong pipeline of large-scale residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, this is an opportunity to join a business known for delivering architecturally ambitious projects with a highly collaborative, delivery-focused approach.
This role would suit an Architect with strong technical capability, excellent Revit/BIM knowledge, and a hands-on attitude towards modelling and project delivery. You’ll play a key role bridging design intent and technical execution, working closely with internal teams, consultants and contractors across multiple project stages.
They’re looking for someone who enjoys being in the detail, managing teams and workflows, actively contributing to model production alongside coordination and technical problem-solving.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the technical design process across multiple projects
- Produce and coordinate detailed architectural packages using Revit
- Develop and manage BIM workflows, standards and project delivery processes
- Work closely with consultants, contractors and internal delivery teams to ensure technical coordination
- Review drawing packages, technical details and construction information
- Support project teams through RIBA stages with a strong focus on technical delivery
- Ensure BIM models are accurate, coordinated and aligned with project requirements
- Mentor team members and support best practice across technical design delivery
- Attend coordination meetings and resolve technical design challenges throughout the project lifecycle
- Qualified Architect with strong technical delivery experience
- Advanced Revit and BIM capability
- Previous experience working on complex UK projects across residential, commercial or mixed-use sectors
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and technical standards
- Comfortable remaining hands-on with modelling and production work
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage workloads across multiple live projects
- Construction-stage experience would be advantageous
- Experience within an AJ100 studio or contractor-led environment is hugely beneficial
- Confident, personable, client facing team player
