We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Director to lead and oversee the construction activities of our commercial office fitout projects. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the entire construction lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with internal design teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the construction phase of Design and Build commercial office fitouts from inception to completion, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the design, specifications, and client requirements.
- Leadership & Team Management: Direct and mentor project managers, site managers, and construction teams. Foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and high performance across all construction activities.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure the highest standards of workmanship and quality control are maintained throughout the project. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Budget & Cost Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring that work is completed within financial constraints. Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Schedule Management: Oversee the development and management of project schedules. Address any issues or delays to ensure that projects are completed on time and within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Act as the main point of contact for client communications, ensuring any concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage issues that arise on-site, ensuring they are resolved quickly and effectively.
- Procurement & Subcontractor Management: Oversee the procurement of materials and subcontractor services. Ensure that all subcontractors adhere to project schedules and quality standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Ensure all project documentation is kept up to date, including contracts, change orders, site reports, and progress reports. Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and budget status.
