Job Title: Pre-Construction Director – South/ South West London Location: South/ South West London (Hybrid with client site visits) Salary: £125,000 – £175,000 base + up to 50% quarterly bonus Company Overview We are representing a leading fire protection consultancy with a proven track record in delivering high-profile projects up to £10m With an order book of £60–£70m for this year and a projected £100m pipeline for next year, the business is poised for significant growth. The Role We are seeking a commercially astute, client-facing Pre-Construction Director to lead front-end engagement across projects in London. You will play a pivotal role in shaping proposals, managing pitches, and steering pre-construction activity to secure and convert business opportunities. Key Responsibilities * Lead the pre-construction process from initial client contact through to contract award. * Own and deliver compelling bids and presentations, acting as the face of the business in pitch scenarios. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners. * Oversee cost planning, programme development, and design coordination at pre-con stage. * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are commercially sound and operationally deliverable. * Mentor and develop pre-construction team members, fostering high performance. Candidate Profile * Proven track record in a senior pre-construction leadership role within the construction sector. * Strong front-end, client-facing presence – confident presenting to and influencing decision-makers. * Deep understanding of being clent fancy and winning work within construction. * Ability to operate strategically while maintaining a hands-on approach to winning work. * Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
