Senior/ Managing Quantity Surveyor – Reading– £82.5k to £92.5k + £9k+ Car Allowance + Bonus Location: Reading Salary: £82,500 – £92,500 + £9,250 car allowance + bonus Company: One of the UK’s fastest growing Main Contractors (secured £500m for 2026 and £400m for 2027) Project Value: £25m Reports to: Commercial Director The Opportunity We’re recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK’s fastest growing main contractors, who have already secured over £500m worth of work for 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to take commercial lead on a £25m new build industrial warehouse scheme in Reading, reporting directly to the Commercial Director. Once you have delivered the project succesfully, or shown my client what you can do, you will be given the promotion/ ste up to Managing Quantity Surveyor. You will take the project from pre-construction all the way through to handover, working closely alongside a Project Manager and playing a key part in ensuring the project is delivered successfully. What You’ll Be Doing * Take full commercial responsibility for a £25m new build industrial warehouse project * Manage costs, procurement, and subcontractor packages throughout the lifecycle * Prepare and negotiate contracts, valuations, and variations * Lead monthly CVRs, forecasting, and cash flow reporting * Drive value engineering and cost-saving initiatives * Ensure robust contract and cost control at every stage * Liaise closely with the Project Manager, clients, consultants, and delivery teams * Report directly to the Commercial Director What We’re Looking For * Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Managing Surveyor on new build projects * Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts * Experience with industrial, logistics, or large-scale commercial schemes * Excellent cost management, negotiation, and reporting skills * Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative project team * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent What’s on Offer * £82,500 – £92,500 salary (depending on experience) * £9,250 car allowance + bonus * Opportunity to lead a high-value, flagship project from pre-construction to completion * Career progression within one of the UK’s fastest growing main contractors * Long-term secured pipeline with £500m already locked in for 2026 and £400m for 2027
