A well-established and growing interior fit-out contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic and collaborative environment, delivering high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across the South of England.

Role Overview:

As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase, preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of commercial fit-out projects. You will work closely with the Pre-Construction and Project teams, contributing to the company's ongoing success in securing new business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for Cat A, Cat B, and refurbishment projects.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate take-offs.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date quotations and pricing.
  • Support in value engineering and offering alternative solutions to drive cost efficiency.
  • Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings as required.
  • Work closely with the design and delivery teams to ensure seamless project handovers.
  • Maintain and update internal pricing databases and cost libraries.
  • Support with bid presentations and client pitches when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an Estimating role within the fit-out or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial fit-out process, including Cat A and Cat B projects.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
