A well-established and growing interior fit-out contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic and collaborative environment, delivering high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across the South of England.
Role Overview
As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase, preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of commercial fit-out projects. You will work closely with the Pre-Construction and Project teams, contributing to the company's ongoing success in securing new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for Cat A, Cat B and refurbishment projects.
- Analyse drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare accurate take-offs.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date quotations and pricing.
- Support in value engineering and offering alternative solutions to drive cost efficiency.
- Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings as required.
- Work closely with the design and delivery teams to ensure seamless project handovers.
- Maintain and update internal pricing databases and cost libraries.
- Support with bid presentations and client pitches when necessary.
Requirements
- An understanding of the commercial fit-out process, including Cat A and Cat B projects.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
