The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Commercial Manager to join a market-leading London fit out contractor, renowned for delivering high-profile commercial office and life sciences projects. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the commercial function across multiple projects, managing a team of Quantity Surveyors, and ensuring the successful commercial delivery of fit outs, refurbishments, and complex cut-and-carve schemes up to circa £20m. This is a chance to step into a leadership role where your expertise will directly influence project success and support the continued growth of a respected contractor.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Commercial leadership of multiple live projects across London
- Manage and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, driving best practice
- Lead procurement, contract administration, and subcontractor negotiations
- Oversee CVRs, cash flow, forecasting, and reporting to the Commercial Director
- Implement robust cost control and risk management strategies
- Lead change management and oversee final accounts
- Work closely with project delivery and client teams to ensure successful outcomes
What We’re Looking For
- Proven track record as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS in fit out/refurbishment
- Experience delivering commercial office or life sciences projects (CAT A & B, cut and carve, refurbishments)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor commercial teams
- Excellent contract knowledge (JCT preferred) and financial acumen
- Ability to influence and lead within a high-performing environment
