The Opportunity
Join an ambitious and fast‑growing fit‑out contractor with a brilliant, experienced team delivering exceptional projects across London and the South East. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven Quantity Surveyor to take commercial lead on a £5m Phase 1 Refurbishment, forming part of a £25m luxury hotel redevelopment in Central London. You’ll gain hands‑on responsibility, autonomy, and exposure to high‑profile work — while being supported by a senior team with a proven track record in delivering complex, high‑end schemes. You’ll enjoy a flexible working pattern — 1‑2 days from home, with the rest split between our Central London office and live sites.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Take full commercial responsibility for the £5m Phase 1 hotel refurbishment.
- Prepare and negotiate subcontractor packages and manage procurement schedules.
- Lead CVRs, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Maintain cost control, risk management, and project profitability.
- Manage change control and oversee final accounts.
- Drive value engineering and ensure cost efficiency across delivery.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in fit‑out or refurbishment projects (ideally £2m‑£20m).
- Strong understanding of JCT contracts and commercial best practice.
- Experience in hotel, commercial, or hospitality sectors is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
