Business Development Executive – Commercial Interior Fit-Out\\nLocation: Portsmouth, UK\\nSalary:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experienced (Fit-Out/Interiors background): Negotiable, depending on experience\\n\\n * \\n\\n Entry from Outside Industry: £40,000–£50,000 basic + £15,000–£20,000 commission OTE\\n Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent\\n\\nA well-established design and build contractor on the South Coast is looking to appoint a Business Development Executive to join their growing commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of a business with bold ambitions, a strong reputation in the market, and a culture that rewards energy, collaboration, and success.\\n\\nRole Overview:\\n\\nThis is a front-line sales role focused on identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities within the commercial interior fit-out space. Working as part of a fast-paced, supportive team, you’ll be responsible for driving the pipeline of design & build projects across the South Coast.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Proactively research, identify, and engage potential clients using phone, LinkedIn, email, and other outbound channels.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Qualify opportunities and pass warm, high-value leads to the Sales Director and wider commercial team.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Build and manage a pipeline of prospects, ensuring opportunities are accurately tracked within the CRM (Pipedrive).\\n\\n * \\n\\n Work closely with the Marketing team to support campaigns and outreach strategies.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Represent the company in a professional, enthusiastic manner – both over the phone and in client-facing interactions.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Track sales activity, record key information, and maintain data hygiene across all systems.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Hit clear KPIs around activity levels, qualified opportunities, and project value moved through the pipeline.\\n\\nWhat We're Looking For:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Proven success in a sales, lead generation, or business development role.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Prior experience in the design & build, fit-out, or construction sectors is highly desirable – but not essential for the right person with strong commercial instincts.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and resilient, with excellent organisational skills.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Professional communicator with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience with CRM systems (ideally Pipedrive) and Office 365.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong work ethic and a genuine interest in interiors, design, or commercial spaces is a bonus.\\n\\nKPIs You’ll Be Working Towards:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Generating £250,000 in weekly leads handed to sales.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Moving £750,000 of qualified opportunities per week through the pipeline.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Completing 250+ sales activities weekly.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Targeting £1.4m annual gross profit from converted projects.\\n\\nWhy Join?\\n\\n * \\n\\n Join a forward-thinking company that’s becoming a leader in commercial interior fit-out across the South Coast.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Excellent commission structure and opportunities for long-term growth.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Friendly, energetic, and results-driven team culture.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Flexible office-based working with a focus on development and progression
