Our client is an industry leading provider of integrated workplace solutions, specializing in office design and build and furniture. They are looking for an assistant/junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Bristol and help deliver projects up to circa £5m. The client is passionate about creating inspiring workplaces that meet the needs of their clients and they pride themselves on delivering outstanding results.
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a hunger to grow and join their experienced team in Bristol. Your primary objectives of the role will be managing the costs associated with the projects alongside the Project/Contracts Manager.
The key roles and responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
- Prepare and submit monthly valuations to the client
- Review and approve monthly Sub-Contractor valuations
- Understand the scope of the project along with the support of the Pre-contracts team
- Responsible for the variation/changes schedule and pricing on any project
- Negotiation with sub-contractors during projects
- Ensure projected GP is maintained and improved upon
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering, ensuring clients receive value for their investment
- Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
- Ensure all contract documentation is suitably filed away
- Agree final account with client and sub contractors
The Offer
