Audit Senior / Assistant Manager Location: Wisbech Salary: £40-50k depending on experience + benefits Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Are you an experienced audit professional looking to take the next step in your career within a supportive and forward-thinking accountancy practice? We’re working with a highly respected firm who are looking to appoint an Audit Senior or Assistant Manager, depending on experience. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to lead on a mix of audit and corporate accounts assignments for a diverse client base. It would suit someone who enjoys client interaction, autonomy, and the chance to develop their leadership skills in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities * Lead or assist on statutory audit assignments from planning through to completion * Prepare and review corporate year-end accounts for limited companies under FRS 102 and 105 * Liaise with clients throughout engagements to ensure smooth delivery and resolve queries * Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing support and feedback * Identify potential areas to add value to clients through additional services or process improvements * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical standards and regulatory changes Requirements * ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist (qualified by experience also considered) * Recent practice experience, including exposure to audit and accounts preparation * Good working knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and audit standards * Strong communication and organisational skills * Confident managing client relationships and working independently when needed What’s on Offer * A flexible and inclusive working environment * Genuine progression opportunities * Supportive leadership and access to ongoing CPD * A competitive salary package and benefits This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and client-focused individual who is ready to make an impact in a thriving and well-established firm.
