How to prepare for a job interview at Big Red Recruitment

Know Your Epicor Inside Out

Make sure you brush up on your knowledge of the Epicor ERP system. Be ready to discuss how you've used it in past roles, and think of specific examples where you've developed or customised features. This will show that you're not just familiar with the software, but that you can leverage it effectively.

Show Off Your Coding Skills

Since you'll be working with C# and VB.Net, prepare to talk about your coding experience. Bring along examples of code you've written or projects you've completed. If possible, practice explaining your thought process behind your coding decisions, as this will demonstrate your problem-solving skills.

Understand the Manufacturing Context

Given the role's focus on a manufacturing environment, do some research on how ERP systems are used in this sector. Be prepared to discuss how your understanding of engineering architecture can contribute to streamlining business processes. This will show that you can connect your technical skills with the industry’s needs.

Ask Insightful Questions

Interviews are a two-way street, so come armed with questions that show your interest in the company and the role. Ask about their current challenges with the Epicor system or how they measure success in this position. This not only demonstrates your enthusiasm but also helps you gauge if the company is the right fit for you.
