About the opportunity
If you like the idea of helping a business run more smoothly behind the scenes while improving the day-to-day experience of thousands of people, this role offers exactly that. Working within a business that develops and operates student accommodation and campus environments, you will play a part in shaping how places where people live and study are supported by better systems, data and processes. There is ongoing investment in data, technology and automation, but the real opportunity is in turning that into something practical. This role has been created to bring more structure, clarity and consistency across a range of initiatives, helping the business get more value from the tools and platforms it already has. You will be working in an environment where systems, processes and data are evolving. The focus is not on theory or pure strategy, but on making things work better in practice.
The role
Think of this as a role that connects the dots across a business that keeps things running at scale. As a Business Analyst, you will work across teams to understand how things currently operate, where improvements can be made, and how technology can support those changes. You will be involved in a mix of data platforms, automation and emerging AI tools, but the priority is strong analysis and practical thinking. This is about understanding how the business works and helping it work better. You will identify opportunities, define requirements and support the delivery of solutions, working closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams. The role sits between the two, helping ensure that ideas are clearly understood and delivered in a way that makes a real difference.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse business processes, systems and workflows
- Gather and document requirements in a clear and practical way
- Support the delivery of data and automation initiatives
- Work with technical teams to implement solutions
- Help improve consistency across systems and processes
- Support better use of data for reporting and insight
- Engage with stakeholders across the organisation
Technology environment
You will be working with a range of platforms and tools, including enterprise systems, cloud technologies, data platforms and reporting tools. There is also exposure to automation and AI-enabled capabilities, as well as systems connected to physical assets and external partners.
About you
You are an experienced Business Analyst who is comfortable working across different systems and domains. You are able to pick up new concepts quickly and apply them in a practical way. You may have experience with data, automation or digital change initiatives, but deep technical expertise is not required. What matters is your ability to understand problems, ask the right questions and support delivery. You are confident working with both business stakeholders and technical teams and are focused on outcomes rather than just documentation.
Location and salary
The role is based in London, as the majority of key stakeholders are office-based there, and regular in-person collaboration will be important for building relationships and understanding the business. As this is a newly created position, there is flexibility around the salary. We are open to discussion depending on experience, with an expected range of up to £65,000.
