Looking for a hands-on IT operations role where you can shape processes, improve tooling, and help modernise an evolving technology environment? You’ll be joining a SaaS business with a collaborative technology team supporting both internal users and operational infrastructure. This role has been created to help bring more structure, automation, and technical ownership into the IT operations function. This is not a traditional service desk management role. You’ll still be hands-on technically, but you’ll also have the autonomy to improve processes, influence tooling decisions, and help drive operational maturity across the business.
You’ll oversee the day-to-day IT operations and support environment, acting as an escalation point while helping the wider team improve efficiency. Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and mentoring a small IT support function
- Acting as an escalation point for complex support and infrastructure issues
- Managing internal IT operations across user devices, endpoints, and Microsoft environments
- Supporting Windows server infrastructure and wider operational systems
- Helping improve monitoring, operational processes, and documentation
- Driving improvements around device management and Intune/MDM implementation
- Identifying opportunities for automation and operational efficiencies
- Collaborating closely with DevOps and engineering teams where responsibilities overlap
The environment includes a mix of traditional IT support, infrastructure operations, and exposure to modern DevOps practices, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys breadth and variety. The role is remote with a top end salary of £50k and benefits like private healthcare and 26 days holiday + bank holidays.
