An established organisation is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a series of strategic system and process improvement projects across its warehouse operations. This role sits within the internal project team and will report directly to the IT Manager, working closely with the wider technology and delivery function.

The Role

You will focus on mapping and analysing warehouse processes, working closely with teams on-site to understand how systems are currently used and where inefficiencies exist. The business operates a long-standing, highly customised ERP platform which is approaching end-of-life. Your role will be to document the current state, identify gaps, and define future requirements that will inform the next phase of system evolution. Your focus will be on processes, systems usage, and operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead workshops with operational and warehouse stakeholders
  • Document AS IS processes and produce clear process maps
  • Identify inefficiencies, duplication, and blockers within current systems
  • Define requirements for future system enhancements
  • Produce user stories, functional documentation, and backlog items
  • Support Agile ceremonies and work closely with development teams
  • Provide structured reporting on risks, dependencies, and progress
  • Create documentation where none currently exists

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' Business Analysis experience
  • Strong background in manufacturing, supply chain or logistics
  • Experience working with ERP systems (legacy environments desirable)
  • Confident running workshops and extracting knowledge from long-standing employees
  • Strong documentation skills, able to create clarity from ambiguity
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on SME environment
  • Technical appreciation of database-driven systems and integrations
  • Exposure to wireframing or working alongside UI/UX teams (desirable)

This role would suit someone who enjoys understanding how things really work on the ground and translating operational complexity into structured, usable requirements.
