We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded National Account Manager to take ownership of key retail accounts and help drive the next phase of Big Potato’s growth. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on responsibility, builds strong retailer relationships, and loves turning great products into great results. You’ll manage a portfolio of major UK retailers such as Waterstones, John Lewis, B&M, The Range and Waitrose, owning the full commercial relationship from strategy through to execution.
Responsibilities- Own and manage national retail accounts, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Take full P&L responsibility for assigned accounts, ensuring profitable growth.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting and demand planning, working closely with internal teams.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with overall business objectives.
- Negotiate trading terms, promotions, ranging and distribution.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to deliver best-in-class execution.
- Attend and represent Big Potato Games at trade shows, buyer meetings and industry events.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate reporting with strong attention to detail.
- Proven experience as a National Account Manager or Key Account Manager.
- Direct experience working with UK retailers such as Waterstones, John Lewis, B&M, The Range and/or Waitrose.
- Background in the Toys, Games or Gifting industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience owning full P&L responsibility.
- Confident in forecasting, strategic planning and data-led decision making.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team, while also demonstrating autonomy, ownership and initiative.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel and attend trade shows as required.
