Big Potato's purpose is to Light Up the Moments We Spend Together. Our games are easy-to-learn, laughter-first games that are played by millions of people around the world. Despite being better connected than ever before, quality time together is increasingly rare. Our games bring people together in a way only a good game can. We have a team that's ambitious, creative and committed to making brilliant games and shaking things up in the category. And we believe in doing it the right way. We're bothered about our People, our Customers, our Consumers and the Planet. We're B-Corp Certified and consistently achieve high Great scores in our employee NPS surveys. We're one of the UK's fastest-growing games companies, and as we scale globally we're rebuilding our finance and operational infrastructure from the ground up, moving away from legacy ERP systems toward a modern, modular, AI-enabled stack.

This is a pivotal moment. This is not a typical FP&A position; we need someone exceptional to help lead that transformation. You'll be part finance operator, part systems architect, part data thinker, someone who gets excited by the challenge of making complex financial data flow cleanly, fast, and intelligibly across a growing global business. You'll work at the intersection of Finance, Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain and Technology, shaping how we plan, report and make decisions as we move into our next phase of growth. You'll also be helping build the foundations that support our future strategic ambitions. You should feel equally at home building a forecasting model, redesigning a chart of accounts, mapping system integrations, or using AI to automate workflows that currently eat up people's time. This is an opportunity to shape a high-impact role in a scaling international business.

What you'll be doing

  • Finance Transformation & Systems Architecture
    • Redesign our finance data architecture as we transition away from SAP
    • Define scalable structures for product hierarchies, chart of accounts, channel reporting, customer segmentation and management dimensions
    • Partner across the business to improve data consistency, governance and process automation
    • Support system selection, implementation and integration projects
  • FP&A & Commercial Insight
    • Build robust forecasting models across product, channel and territory
    • Improve the quality, speed and accessibility of management information
    • Analyse profitability across SKUs, retailers, channels and regions
    • Help leadership make sharper commercial decisions through clearer data and reporting
  • AI & Automation
    • Identify and implement practical AI tooling across forecasting, reporting, reconciliations and data workflows
    • Reduce manual overhead and help establish modern finance operating practices
  • Strategic Growth & Exit Readiness
    • Build infrastructure and reporting that supports future investment readiness and scale
    • Improve KPI reporting, auditability, diligence readiness and data integrity

Why this role? This is a rare chance to reshape how a growing, global consumer business thinks about finance, data and systems, not just for today, but for years ahead. You'll have real ownership, broad exposure, and the chance to build something meaningful from the ground up using the latest tools and technologies.

Essential

  • Strong FP&A, commercial finance or finance transformation experience in a fast-moving business
  • Deep systems thinking and hands-on experience with ERP migrations or finance transformations
  • Solid understanding of finance data structures: GLs, dimensions, hierarchies and master data governance
  • Confident with large datasets, Excel/Google Sheets modelling, SQL and BI tools (e.g. Looker)
  • Practical understanding of how AI tooling can be applied in finance
  • Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Naturally curious, proactive and comfortable bringing structure to messy problems

Bonus points for

  • Experience moving away from SAP or implementing modular finance stacks
  • Exposure to ecommerce, retail or consumer goods businesses
  • Experience supporting businesses through investment rounds, acquisitions or exit processes
  • Understanding of data warehousing and finance data modelling principles

We are committed to building brilliant teams that reflect a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives and experiences, and we strongly encourage applications from underrepresented groups. Research shows that people from underrepresented backgrounds are less likely to apply unless they meet every requirement, so if this role excites you, don't worry about ticking every single box. At Big Potato, we care more about potential, attitude and fresh thinking than a perfect CV.

Annual Leave Entitlement (Full-time): 16 days, in addition to Bank and Public Holidays. We work a four-day week (we were one of the first companies to implement this and we've never looked back).
